It was really beautiful out today. Your perfect California weather. Not too hot, a nice breeze blowing here and there. I had to go to a luncheon with my family, and I actually liked what I wore, so I thought I'd do an outfit post. My mom found these old BCBG pants of hers last night and said I could have them. They were weirdly flared at the bottom , but I rolled them up and they became the perfect high-waisted trousers. And they're made of this brushed suede type of fabric. I'm kind of in love.

After the luncheon, I went to work - my official second day - I bought the new lace t-shirt in white. I think I'm going to be obsessed with that for a while in addition to these pants. I want one in every single color.

I'm really exhausted. Who knew work could be so tiring. Tomorrow, we're doing another zine photoshoot (finally). Hope it goes well and we can finally get this thing put together!

I've got to get some rest. Just thought I'd do an outfit post since it's been a while since the last one.

I've got this chronic fear of vapidity when I'm attempting to write a blog. But at the same time, I'm not exactly down with baring my soul for all of the internet to see - regardless of my lack of readers. I don't want the world to know my problems or insecurities. But I don't want to appear as though all I care about is what i wear to school every day, or what I've bought on my most recent shopping trip either! It seems, though, that these are the only blogworthy occurrences in my life these days, so I'm left with a blog that reeks of shopaholic-ism. I desperately need a happy medium! If I made more time for creative writing, making movies, painting, drawing, playing guitar, etc. etc. maybe I wouldn't be so worried. I could post about those things! But here I am, blogging about having nothing to blog about instead of getting my homework done to make time for things worth blogging about. I'm quite the little genius with all this logic of mine.

My spanish teacher, who is pretty cool as far as spanish teachers go (i.e. vegetarian, basically only watches indie movies, enjoys philosophical tangents in the middle of class etc. etc.) liked my scarf very much. I came into class and he was all, "Ah, Juana, I like your scarf. You look very nice today." So, thanks Señor W.; I concur!

So, first rainy day of the new year. Huzzah. Except the rain didn't even last till noon....? It's supposed to rain all next week though. Yayness.

It was really cold this morning so I threw on my peacoat. I used to be obsessed with it this time last year, but I barely wear it anymore. When I do, I feel bad because it really is such a good staple coat. I vow to wear it more often. It's supposed to rain tomorrow so maybe....Also, this scarf is my new favorite accessory. It has these adorable wild geese printed on it. I only realized this this morning but it makes me very happy.

It seems like all anyone can talk about at school is winter formal. Winter formal this, winter formal that. I've pretty much decided that I'm not going (due to lack of a date for the evening). But all the taaaalk, it makes me second guess my decision. I feel like i should go, or want to, but I can't muster up the enthusiasm. Maybe if I make some plans for that night, it will be easier to stop going back and forth.

I thought that i would be going out sometime during the day, but alas i am stranded at home. If i do go out, it will be too cold for the outfit i had on. But pictures anyway! I found this hat in my mom's closet when i was looking for my leggings that have mysteriously disappeared. It's super-duper 90s; but also perfect because I've been searching for a bowler hat and this one is a nice twist.
